Research Overview

Our current research interest involves the directed synthesis of carbon nanostructures by a bottom up approach using chemical methods. We aim to design and synthetize distorted nanographenes in a controlled manner and subsequently, evaluate their optical and electronical properties.

We are also interested in provide a new combination of optical properties into these distorted nanographenes. The combination of non-linear optical properties as Two Photon Absorption (TPA) and chiroptical properties such as Circular Dichroism (CD) and Circularly Polarized Luminescence (CPL).
